How to navigate the schedule: The conference schedule is hosted by Sched.com which allows you to search within the schedule, and filter the schedule to show sessions only occurring on a certain day or time.

You can build your own schedule by creating a free account with Sched.com by selecting "SIGN UP" in the top right corner. To use the filter options, find the "Filter by Type" heading on the right side of the page and select one of the sessions.   A navigation bar will appear, showing all of the tracks.  Hovering over the "Schedule" tab at the top of the agenda will show the different ways to view the schedule.

For more information, watch a how-to video from Sched.com to learn about all of the features.

Break Out of the Box with BreakoutEDU: A platform for immersive learning games exemplifying high- and low-tech integration.

"Experience the competitive fun of communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

BreakoutEDU was inspired by ""escape rooms"" around the world where you pay to get ""locked in"" a room with friends and try to escape by solving puzzles and unlocking codes.

We will have a pre-created learning adventure with a ""locked kit"" and a website to access clues.

We will play Time Warp: Get lost in time to navigate the history of communication to return to the present.

The framework of the learning game ensures that involvement leads to understanding. Players convert information and data into useful knowledge in the act of figuring out the problem.  Breakouts are being used to teach core academic subjects.   Learning standards that apply problem solving strategies are embedded throughout."

Students will share their experiences with Vermont History Day, a structured program that predates personalized learning plans, but provides students the venue to practice transferrable skills while learning a wide variety of history content.

This presentation will share how we incorporated student voice into our makerspace journey (from design to implementation to continued use). We will share ideas for makerspace creation and our progress towards support for increased tinkering at our school. Students will engage you with their passion for making and share why a makerspace is an awesome learning tool. Come prepared with questions and to make!
