How to navigate the schedule: The conference schedule is hosted by Sched.com which allows you to search within the schedule, and filter the schedule to show sessions only occurring on a certain day or time.

You can build your own schedule by creating a free account with Sched.com by selecting "SIGN UP" in the top right corner. To use the filter options, find the "Filter by Type" heading on the right side of the page and select one of the sessions.   A navigation bar will appear, showing all of the tracks.  Hovering over the "Schedule" tab at the top of the agenda will show the different ways to view the schedule.

I am a longtime school librarian and library activist and consultant on school library programs; I write and present nationally and statewide on school librarians and advocacy. Most recently, I contributed a chapter, “Flipping the Switch for School Library Advocacy” to Creative Library Promotion and Publicity: Best Practices (Rowan and Littlefield, 2015).  I was a member of the AASL Standards Implementation Task Force that worked to develop a wide variety of resources and opportunities for all stakeholders to connect with the Standards.A member of the New York State delegation to the American Library Association (ALA) National Library Legislative Day and active yearly at the New York Library Association (NYLA) Advocacy Day, I am a Past President of New York Library Association (NYLA), the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the School Library Section of NYLA (NYLA/SSL). I have been program chair of the NYLA/SSL Educational Leadership Institute since 1991.  In addition to my full-time work as a school librarian, I was also an online instructor for Mansfield University’s School Library and Information Technologies (8 years) and an adjunct professor for bibliographic instruction for Plattsburgh (NY) State University Feinberg Library (16 years) and currently teach as an adjunct for the Syracuse University iSchool.  A recent member and chair of the ALA Literacy Committee, I just finished a three-year term as a member of the ALA’s Executive Board, Council and Conference Committee and was re-elected to ALA Council.
